Clean Cut Pine Needles, LLC in Pageland, SC is hiring 70 temporary full-time pine straw balers for work in Kershaw & Chesterfield counties from 01/02/17 - 7/01/17. Wage rate is $12.71 per hour. Overtime available at $19.07 per hour. Piece rate is $1.00 per bale. Hours are M-F 8am - 5pm. Some weekend work may be required. Three-fourths of an average of 40/hrs/wk guaranteed for each 12 week period of the contract. Workers will manage pine forest tracts using hand tools such as brush cutters, pitchforks and shovels to remove excess pine straw from the forest floor. All tools provided without charge. Workers will bale pine straw, tie bales and load/unload for shipping. Transportation provided to/from jobsites from central location. Job requires physical stamina. Must lift and carry 50lbs and walk over rough ground. Minimum production of 10 bales per hour after 1 week on the job training. No minimum education and experience requirements. Employer will assist with provision of housing for workers who cannot reasonably return to their place of residence at the end of each workday for a fee of $51.00 per week. Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence at the market rate consistent with the GSA from the place of recruitment or place of employment provided consistent with 20 CFR 655.18(b)(12).

***Workers will be paid weekly and will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law.

The employer will make the following deductions from the worker's wages: FICA taxes and federal income tax withholdings as required by Federal, State, and local law for applicable domestic workers, cash advances and repayment of loans, repayment of overpayment of wages to the worker, recovery of any loss to the employer due to the worker's damage (beyond normal wear and tear) or loss of equipment or damage to housing where it is shown that the worker is responsible and any other deductions expressly authorized by the worker in writing. Employer will reimburse all foreign workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees. If the worker (domestic and/or foreign) completes 50% of the contract period the employer will either arrange and pay directly, reimburse the worker directly, or provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence consistent with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(i). The employer will provide pay for the worker's (foreign and/or domestic) cost of return transportation and daily subsistence consistent with 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(ii).
